Meet my newest cherub, Timothy. Baby's first laugh is inspiration behind this one of a kind masterpiece. Wouldn't it be wonderful if your little one was always happy? Timothy will bring happiness to your heart each time you see his darling face. When I see dear Timothy I can't help but smile myself!

Each of my little cherubs starts out as a Berenguer play doll and is lovingly reborn into a collectible work of art. Achieving that "real baby look" takes hours and hours of labor. First the factory paint was removed and Timothy was given a warm, sudsy bath to remove any waxy residue and impurities from his sweet skin. Then he was colored inside and out with my special coloring techniques and blushed to a rosy glow in all those places where babies are naturally pink.

Special attention was paid to all of those little baby creases and folds to give him real baby coloring. Just like any other infant, his skin is not exactly even. I have worked very hard to achieve the perfect blend to create the most amazingly realistic skin tone. You'll find that my babies have very natural coloring. My babies do not look like they are wearing blush and lipstick! I apply coloring in layers and give ample time to dry and cure between layers.

Timothy's eyes are a beautiful shade of blue. Because I feel eyes are the window to the soul, I replace the factory eyes with the most realistic eyes I can find. Each baby's eye color is chosen to complement his or his coloring and personality. Timothy's eyelashes were hand-applied and he has a has a medium brown Kemper mohair wig, which has been cut and thinned to accentuate his sweet face. The mohair is so similar to real newborn hair and can be gently brushed and styled. Timothy's nose was gently hand-sculpted open so he can breathe. I've kept his mouth closed to preserve the integrity of the vinyl.

Timothy's little fingernails and toenails have been tipped and then, sealed with a permanent varnish that will not yellow. Everyone comments on how realistic my baby's nails look.

Timothy was given a brand new high quality cloth body. For those cute poses, his tummy and tush plates tuck neatly into his diaper. His limbs were weighted with poly pellets and his head has been weighted with sealed sand packets and polyfill. Just like a real baby, you will want to support his head when holding his. In his tummy, I've placed a hand sewn cloth bag filled with poly pellets. I used a little bit of polyfill in his little bottom and shoulder area. This makes his feel oh, so realistic! You'll love this feature. It enables his torso to be fully moveable so he can snuggle and pose in countless positions! Timothy wears newborn and some preemie sized clothing. He has full vinyl limbs, so he can wear all the cute summer fashions! Please note that Timothy is not recommended for small children. He is no longer a toy, but a collectible piece of art that can be passed down from generation to generation.

Timothy will come home to his new mommy wearing a darling blue and white checked one piece outfit by Alexis and coordinating white socks. He will also be bringing his receiving blanket, his tummy and tush plates, his birth certificate with his picture and care instructions. If his new mommy wishes to change his name, I will be more than happy to reprint his birth certificate with his new name or leave it blank. And, of course, he will be bringing his adorable Pooh to snuggle on the way home .
